Eligible students who are looking to complete or receive their Hepatitis B, HPV, and/or Meningococcal vaccines as part of the routine school vaccine program are now able to book an appointment online for one of the two Public Health clinics beginning in November.

Public Health will be utilizing Region of Waterloo facilities in Waterloo and Cambridge to offer the routine school vaccine program for three cohorts of eligible students.

“The routine school vaccine program was impacted by COVID-19 response and the COVID-19 vaccination roll-out. We anticipate that approximately 18,000 students, across three school year cohorts, require one or more doses of the vaccines normally given in grade 7,” said Kristy Wright, Manager of the Vaccine Preventable Diseases program. “We are excited to offer the program in this innovative way to help all eligible students catch up on their immunizations.”
