A recent alert from the Waterloo Region Integrated Drugs Strategy says there were 33 reported cases of overdoses/drug poisonings from October 21 to 26.
Twenty-one reported cases occurred over 48 hours last Wednesday to Friday, says Friday's X post from WRIDS.
Community partners also reported that multiple doses of naloxone were required, patients experienced long lasting sedation and hospitalization was required for some overdoses/drug poisonings.
