The Riversde Park accessible playground, next to the splash park, is closed for repairs until May 18 at 9:00am.
The city says urgent rubber surfacing work is needed for it to be functional for the summer season.
"The work requires warmer daytime weather for it to be completed, and it will need a few days afterwards to allow for it to cure," the city said in a press release.
"Please stay out of the fenced off area until Thursday morning. Any earlier foot traffic will damage the completed work before it has cured, and could result in further extended closures."
