Pack away your Halloween decorations and bust out the Christmas lights, the holiday season is right around the corner.

The City of Cambridge has put out the call for volunteers to help with Winterfest and its many upcoming holiday themed events\.

There are several volunteer roles available for Winterfest (formerly Christmas in Cambridge) between Nov. 24 and Dec. 31. that include interacting as costumed characters, event setup and event helpers.

There are currently five different events that will have specific roles dedicated to each one.

From popular events like Phil Kline's Unsilent Night at City Hall on Nov. 24. to Music and Lights in the Village in Hespeler Village on Dec. 1, the city has plenty of opportunities for those looking to help this holiday season.

The CP Holiday Train will roll into town Nov. 23. at the old Galt train station on Malcolm Street. The city needs parking attendants, railway monitors and event helpers to make the event run smoothly.

For a full list of events and their positions, visit the city's website for more information.
