Sections of Franklin Boulevard have been shut down to repair a water main break that caused nearly an entire lane to collapse.

The City of Cambridge posted on social media that the southbound lanes on Franklin Boulevard from Avenue Road to Glamis Road will be potentially closed until later today.

Two-way traffic will be maintained through the northbound lanes, potentially disrupting traffic flows in the area. The city advises drivers to take alternative routes.

Updates will follow.
