There are lots of activities and events for all ages happening in the city this weekend

The Old Post Office Idea Exchange projection show is one of the highlights of the holiday season in Cambridge.

Holiday celebrations are in full swing. Residents can enjoy the Cambridge Santa Claus parade, light shows, holiday markets and more this weekend.

Friday, Nov. 18

Merry and Bright Open House

King St. E, Nov 18 at 8 a.m. until Nov 19 at 8 p.m.

Stores, restaurants and services will be showcasing what their businesses have to offer with entertainment and a fun, lively atmosphere.

Old Post Office Holiday Digital Light Show

12 Water St S, 8:00 - 9:30 p.m.

A special holiday light show will be projected on the facade of the Old Post Office. Shows begin every half hour and residents can tune into 92.5 on their radio to listen to choreographed music.

 

Saturday, Nov. 19

Cambridge Farmers' Market

40 Dickson St., 7:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

A central community food hub, the market features 26 year round vendors and 30 seasonal vendors.

Merry and Bright Open House

King St. E, Nov 18 at 8 a.m. until Nov 19 at 8 p.m.

Winter Makers Market

400 Holiday Inn Dr., 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Hosted at Tempe Baptist Church, there will be crafts and goodies available that can make for great Christmas presents.

Merry and Bright Christmas Photo Session for your pets

846 King St E, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Get some photos with your furry friends this Christmas. Appointments are required at thebigbas.com/christmas. Sessions are 30 minutes in length.

Cambridge Santa Claus parade

Hespeler Road from Dunbar Road, 6 p.m.

Set up early to get a good seat at the annual Santa Claus parade.

Wave Maker Brewery Outdoor Holiday Market

639 Laurel St, 6 p.m. - 10 p.m.

This second annual market has vendors that are perfect for your holiday market. Enjoy the sights and sounds with a Wave Maker beer.

Christmastide - A Baroque Christmas at Central Presbyterian Church

7 Queen's Square, 8 p.m.

Enjoy the sights and sounds of yesteryear as music by Telemann, Corelli, Torelli, and the lush harmonies of Capella Intima fills the hall

Cambridge Community Players presents the play Lunenburg

47 Water Street S, 8 p.m. - 10 p.m.

A wife inherits a house from her deceased husband she didn't now existed. The events that ensue are full surprises, transformations and laughs.

 

Sunday, Nov. 20

Cookies and Kids - Comedy in Motion

60 Dickson St., 1 p.m.

A comedy show for all ages that will have spectators on the edge of their seat. Cost is $5.00.
