WRDSB offering assistive technology training for parents

Learn how to help students connect, plan and organize their work to better support them and their studies

The Waterloo Region District School Board is continuing their commitment to student success by providing training on assistive technology tools for parents and caregivers.

Throughout the next three months, the WRDSB Assistive Technology Team will be running workshops aimed to help maintain wraparound support for students. 

During the workshops, parents and caregivers will learn how to use Google assistive technology tools to provide support and help children share their learning goals, manage their time and organize their digital spaces.

Three Part Learning Series

Part One: Connect

Participants will learn about the tools that can help students share learning goals and homework tasks.

Feb. 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. 

Part Two: Plan

Participants will learn about tools to help plan out tasks and manage time for studying and projects.

Jan. 24 from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Feb. 13 from 12 to 12:30 p.m.

Part Three: Organize

Participants will earn about tools to help your child organize their “digital space”.

Feb. 1 from 1:45 to 2:15 p.m. 

March 1 from 1:45 to 2:15 p.m.
