The Women’s International Gift and Gallery storefront on Dickson Street in Galt will be closing its doors on March 31, but the charitable fashion boutique isn't going away entirely.

The YWCA Cambridge's social enterprise will be keeping its online store operational for at least one more year.

The organization is also in discussions to hold pop-up shops in their current location twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall over the course of a weekend.

“Like many of you, we’ve been dreading the day WIGG closes forever,” the YWCA Cambridge said in a release on their website.

“That’s why we can’t just let all of this go. After much consideration, we've decided to keep this beautiful social enterprise alive in a smaller, different way. “

The pop-up shop will feature collections from a curated selection of brands.

The WIGG store provides critical funds for the YWCA to run their programs and services for cis and trans women and girls, non-binary and two-spirit individuals in the community.

“We’ve loved operating this passion project over the past 12 years and we thank you for all of your support, each of you wonderful fashion lovers and especially our incredible volunteers,” the release said.

“We’re excited to have found this opportunity to keep WIGG and the gorgeous community around it alive.”

The brick and mortar and online stores are currently running a sale with items up to 80 per cent off.
