Girls born in 2014 and 2015 will be able to play Coach Pitch for free courtesy of the CGSA
Softball
The season will run from May to August.

The Cambridge Girls Softball Association is looking to build interest in the game this season with a free Coach Pitch season for young players.

Girls born in 2014 and 2015 will be eligible to play, with the association hoping to field at least a four team league this summer.

Coaches and teams will focus on teaching and developing the skills of throwing, catching, fielding and hitting all while playing in game settings. Players must have a glove and helmet to participate.

In order to run the league, the CGSA is recruiting adults to serve as coaches. Potential coaches need to have an up-to-date police check and will be given instruction by the existing certified coaching staffs within the organization.

Indoor spaces for winter workouts will also be provided before going outdoors in the spring.

The season will run from May to August, with March 15 being the deadline to register.
