Six players with Cambridge ties are headed to Komoka to put their skills on display for scouts.

Three players out of the Cambridge Minor Hockey Association have been selected to play in the U16 AAA Minor Hockey Alliance of Ontario Top Prospects Game on Jan. 7.

Forwards Matthew Miller and Jonathan Herrington will join defenceman Lincoln Baker on Team White representing the Cambridge Hawks.

At the U18 AAA Prospects Game that follows the U16s, Cambridge forwards Lukas Marik, Keenan McGrath and Jack McGurn will suit up for Team White.

With the Hawks not icing a team at the U18 level, Marik and McGrath play for the Kitchener Jr. Rangers and McGurn plays for the Huron Perth Lakers.

The showcase is an opportunity for players to put their skill set on display for scouts and recruiters.

Those at the U16 age group are preparing for the 2024 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection. Last year, five players were selected out of Cambridge.

Of that group, defenceman Jack D'Arcy has already made his OHL debut earlier this season with the Flint Firebirds.

Players at the older level are looking to stand out for the upcoming U18 OHL draft.

Both prospects games are being hosted in Komoka at the Middlesex Centre Community Wellness and Recreation Centre.

Pre-game ceremonies for the U16 game are scheduled for 12:30 p.m., with the U18 game to follow at 3:30 p.m.

LiveBarn will be streaming both games here.
