The Cambridge RedHawks and Brantford Bandits won't be the only ones hitting the ice on Saturday at Galt Arena Gardens.

The team is asking fans to bring a stuffed animal to the game for their annual teddy bear toss.

When the RedHawks score their first goal, fans can litter the ice with the toys that will be donated to local organizations ahead of the holidays.

Saturday's matchup is the middle game of a three-in-three weekend for the RedHawks.

On Friday, the team is in Listowel to take on the Cyclones at 7:30 p.m. They'll be back on the road Sunday for a 7 p.m. start in Elmira.

Forward and captain Matt Fries currently leads the team with 14 goals and 29 point in 22 games.

Cambridge heads into this week's play with a 14-9-1 record and sit fifth in the Midwestern Conference of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League.
