Cambridge RedHawks land local forward in swap with K-W Siskins

The Cambridge RedHawks made a trade with regional rival the Kitchener-Waterloo Siskins this week.

The Cambridge RedHawks have acquired yet another local talent via trade.

The RedHawks received forward Jake Skuta from the Kitchener-Waterloo Siskins in exchange for a player development fee.

Skuta has suited up in 18 games so far this season, scoring one goal and adding four assists.

During his U16 season in 2021-2022 with Cambridge, he potted 11 goals and assisted on eight others in 27 games. After the season, the Owen Sound Attack selected him with the 294th pick in the 15th round of the Ontario Hockey League draft.

The RedHawks open a three-in-three weekend schedule on Friday night in Listowel at 7:30 p.m.

They return to Galt Arena Gardens on Saturday to face Brantford in their annual teddy bear toss game at 7 p.m. before closing out the weekend with a game in Elmira on Sunday at 7 p.m.
