Fan favourite voting begins tonight.

It's time for Cambridge RedHawks fans to have their say.

With just nine games remaining until the start of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League playoffs, the team is opening the voting for its fan favourite award.

The voting begins tonight ahead of their game against the Listowel Cyclones. Five of their final nine games will be played at home.

Attendance has been strong for the team, as they've averaged over 600 fans per game since the new year.

Statistically, hometown forward Matt Fries leads the way with 24 goals and 28 assists for 52 points in 38 games. It's the first time in his career he's reached the 50-point mark.

In goal, Leland Gill owns a 12-11-2 record to go along with a 3.17 goals against average and .902 save percentage.

The game against Listowel is the beginning of a busy week that sees them host the Ayr Centennials on Saturday at 7 p.m. before travelling to Elmira for a 5:30 p.m. puck drop on Sunday.

Currently sitting in sixth place with 43 points, Cambridge is two points behind the fifth place Centennials.

Voting can be done in the main lobby of Galt Arena Gardens prior to each home game until Feb. 22.
