Less than a week after naming Mike McIlveen as their new head coach, the Cambridge RedHawks have filled out the rest of the coaching staff.

Jordan Hatzinger, Gerry Skrypec and Rob Radford will join McIlveen behind the bench when the 2024-25 season gets underway.

Hatzinger brings experience as both a player and coach in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League's Midwestern Conference. His junior career saw him spend four seasons with the Guelph Hurricanes.

He began coaching with the St. George Ravens of the Greater Metro Hockey League in 2017, serving as both an assistant and head coach before taking over the Caledon Bombers of the GOJHL in 2022. Most recently, Hatzinger served as an associate coach with the Brantford Bandits last season.

Skrypec, a Kitchener native, played in the Ontario Hockey league between 1990 and 1994 with the Ottawa 67's, Newmarket Royals, Niagara Falls Thunder and Detroit Jr. Red Wings. He closed out his playing career with a season in each of the International Hockey League and ECHL.

As a coach, Skrypec was an assistant with the Waterloo Siskins during the 2007-08 season and was the head coach of the Bandits for the 2023-24 season.

Radford brings experience from the Burlington Cougars of the Jr. A Ontario Junior Hockey League and Blyth Academy.

The RedHawks will host their prospect camp on May 25 and 26 at the Cambridge Sports Park.
