The RedHawks have added three Cambridge players to their roster.

When the Cambridge RedHawks hit the ice for their home opener next month, they'll feature three new faces who already know their way around Galt Arena Gardens.

The team announced the signings of 15-year-old defenceman Jack D'Arcy, 16-year-old forward Lukas Marik and 19-year-old forward Evan Silveira last week.

D'Arcy, who was a sixth round pick of the Flint Firebirds in 2023, inked a standard player agreement with the Ontario Hockey League club back in July. During his 16U season with the Cambridge Hawks he scored four goals and added eight assists in 33 regular season games. He also played a pair of games for the Ayr Centennials.

Marik, meanwhile, found the back of the net eight times and tallied six assists for the Hawks during the 2021-2022 season. He spent last year with the Kitchener Jr. Rangers U18 team, amassing 18 points in 38 games. Like D'Arcy, he found his way into the Ayr Centennials lineup for five games and chipped in a goal and an assist.

Silveira brings with him the most junior hockey experience of the three hometown additions as he's played in over 100 games between the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League's Brantford Bandits, Niagara Falls Canucks and the Provincial Junior Hockey League's Wellesley Applejacks.

In 14 regular season games for Wellesley last season, Silveira had a goal and seven assists before putting up seven points in 25 playoff games to help the Applejacks win the Schmalz Cup.

The RedHawks are currently in the midst of their preseason schedule and own a 1-2 record.

They open the regular season on Friday, Sept. 15 in Caledon before returning home the following night to take on the Kitchener-Waterloo Siskins.
