The Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League has announced its 2023-2024 All-Rookie Teams.
Cambridge defenceman Owen Yagar has been named to the Midwestern Conference team after an impressive regular season that saw him finish second on the RedHawks in points. He potted 11 goals and added 29 assists in 43 games.
Yagar's 40 points put him behind only Cambridge native Matt Fries for the team lead.
The Waterloo native led GOJHL rookie defenceman in points and finished third among all eligible rearguards.
With the regular season complete, the RedHawks now turn their attention to the playoffs.
They head to Elmira tonight for Game 1 of their first round series against the Sugar Kings.
Puck drop for Game 2 is scheduled for Saturday at 7 p.m. at Galt Arena Gardens.
