Cambridge defenceman Jack D'Arcy made his Ontario Hockey League debut on Wednesday night for the Flint Firebirds in a 6-3 road victory over the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds at the GFL Memorial Gardens.

The 15-year-old was the Firebirds sixth round pick in last year's draft after scoring six goals and adding 12 assists in 38 games across the regular season and playoffs for the Cambridge Hawks U16 AAA team.

The win improved the Firebirds record to 4-6-0-0 and they currently sit in 8th place in the OHL's Western Conference. They return to action on Saturday when the Greyhounds make a visit to the Dort Financial Centre in Flint.

D'Arcy signed earlier this year to play junior B in Cambridge. So far this season with the RedHawks, he's scored a goal and registered seven assists in nine games.

The RedHawks are 6-5-1 on the season and welcome the Stratford Warriors to Galt Arena Gardens on Saturday before rounding out their weekend schedule with a game in Elmira on Sunday.
