The NCAA Co-Regional Gymnast of the Year is the third honour for Cambridge's Emma Spence in the last three weeks.

The accolades continue to roll in for Cambridge native and University of Nebraska gymnast Emma Spence.

Having already been named to the All-Big Ten Conference First Team, Spence was chosen as a Co-Regional Gymnast of the Year by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association on Monday.

Spence competed in the all-around at all 12 meets in 2023 and was a perfect 48-for-48 without recording a fall. She claimed 14 individual titles, set career high scores on every event and finished the season ranked 27th in the NCAA in the all-around competition.

The sophomore standout shared the award with Helen Hu from the University of Missouri.

Away from competition, she was also named to the Academic All-Big Ten team for her work in the classroom as a Communication Studies major.

The Huskers season came to an end at the NCAA Regionals in Denver, Colo. this past Friday with losses to Oregon State, LSU and Georgia.

They closed the campaign 12-13 overall.
