Latest induction class heading into Cambridge Sports Hall of Fame Saturday

The Cambridge Sports Hall of Fame will be hosting its induction ceremony on Saturday.

Four athletes, two builders and three teams are set to take their rightful place in the Cambridge Sports Hall of Fame.

The annual induction ceremony is set for Saturday out front of the hall of fame inside the Cambridge Centre mall.

Among those being inducted are national mogul team skier Jackie Brown, boxer Noah Brusso, who fought under the name Tommy Burns, and ringette players Jackie and Jennifer Gaudet in the athlete category.

Dave Menary, an author, historian and one of the co-founders of the hall of fame, will be joined by softball coach Bill Bauer as builders heading into the hall.

All three of the teams being inducted come in the form of figure skating pairs as Lyndon Johnston and Melinda Kunhegyi, Lyndon Johnston and Denise Benning and Mark Rowsom and Becky Gough have been recognized for their achievements.

The ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. and is open to the public.
