The Minor Hockey Alliance of Ontario has announced the 40 players that will hit the ice at its annual U15 AAA prospects showcase, including three from the Cambridge Minor Hockey Association.
Defenceman Aaron Howell and forwards Ryan Power and Levi Westwood will represent the Cambridge Hawks while playing for Team Navy. The Hawks sent four players to the event last year.
The game sees the top 2009-born players competing against each other, with each team being comprised of two goalies, six defencemen and 12 forwards.
The showcase is set to take place on Dec. 17 at the Middlesex Centre Community Wellness and Recreation Centre in Komoka, Ont. with a pre-game ceremony beginning at 2:30 p.m.
Cambridge is currently 4-8-2 in Alliance league play.
The U16 AAA and U18 AAA prospect games are scheduled for Jan. 7 in Komoko and rosters will be announced in the coming weeks.
