Cambridge native and New York Islanders goalie Tristan Lennox visited Scarborough on Aug. 24, to present a cheque of $10,000 to The War Amps Key Tag Service.

The donation was raised through the family’s charitable foundation, Lenny’s House, by auctioning hockey equipment and signed memorabilia.

“This one in particular was special to me because my sister Abby has benefited from the Child Amputee (CHAMP) Program, which enabled her to grow up participating in local sports,” Lennox said.

The donation will provide child amputees with financial assistance for artificial limbs and resources for living with amputation.
