Our Beloved, Anthony "Tony" William Barr, of Cambridge, Ontario passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023.

Tony leaves behind, his wife Jane, and children Jonathan (Marie Claude) and Tessa, and 4 loving grandchildren, Levi, Evelyn, Sienna and Margot.

Tony was born and grew up in Kingston, Ontario, born to parents, Helen (Forte) and Reginald Barr (deceased). He had 4 siblings, John (Sharon) Barr, Shirley (Gary) Bonsteel, Kristine Barr and Helen Calder. He was also very close to his heart brothers, Rick Lewis, Kane Rouse, Peter Rouse, Michael Rouse, Andrew Rouse and Benjamin Rouse.

Tony had many nieces, nephews, which he loved dearly, Calvin, Coleson, Makenna, Caiden, Summer, Savannah, Parker, Jackson, Jessica, Nikita, Grey, Richard, Justin, Kara, Janne, Sherry, Megan and Scott. Great Nephews and Nieces, Beckham, Monaco, Kahl, Helena, Clay, Casey, Gregory, Julia, Joey and Ella.

Tony had a zest for life and lived it to its fullest. He was a true protector and loved his family with all his heart. He was a much loved “Poppa” and would dance a jig just to see his grandbabies laugh.

Tony graduated from Mohawk College, Hamilton Ontario. He worked at Cambridge Stamping as a machine operator for over 25 years. He was President of the local Steelworkers Union and was a clear and fair voice for all his co-workers. He was a community volunteer for most of his life coaching hockey and baseball. He loved the game of golf and spent many days on the golf course in his retirement with his golfing buddies.

Tony leaves a massive hole in all our hearts. He is gone from our sight but never from our souls. “We will forever hold you in our hearts till we can hold you in heaven”.

The family will be holding a Private Service at Coutts Funeral Home & Cremation Centre
