MARCH 9, 1941 – DECEMBER 25, 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Robert G. Bogle at the Freeport Hospital on December 25, 2023 in his 82nd year.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children Jennifer Lee Bogle and Gordon Wayne Bogle. He will be deeply missed his grandchildren Emily Paige Bernhardt, and Jacob Bogle as well as his cherished great grandchildren Wyatt Bogle and Lauren Bogle. Robert is predeceased by his loving Sheila Mary Bogle Robert will also be fondly missed by extended family and friends.
Robert was extremely involved in his community and a proud member of the Waterloo Regional Police where he served for 30 years. He followed in his father's footsteps, Gordon Nelson Bogle, who was the youngest serving Chief of Police in Preston for many years.
Roberts’s family would like to especially thank the doctors and nurses at the Hamilton General 5West and to the nurses and staff at the Freeport Hospital for their care and compassion.
Family and friends will be welcomed at Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd Cambridge on Wednesday January 3, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday January 4, 2024 in the chapel of the funeral home beginning at 11 a.m. Reception to follow the funeral services, and burial to take place at Preston Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers and in memory of Robert, please consider making donations to the Kidney Foundation or to the Humane Society, both causes which meant very much to him.
