JUNE 21, 1939 – APRIL 7, 2023
Passed away peacefully after a brave battle with cancer on April 7th, 2023 in his 84th year.
Devoted husband of 58 years to June Bruce. Loving father to Shona (Brad) Thomson, Lorna (Peter) Hawthorne and Greig (Brenda) Bruce. Cherished Grandpa to Kolby (Ethan) Latimer, Alex (Leah) Thomson, Olivia (Alex) Hawthorne, Matthew (Lily) Hawthorne and Nevaeh Bruce. Will be deeply missed by his 2 great-grandsons Liam and Lennon Latimer and 1 great-granddaughter on her way. He will forever remain in the hearts of his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Alexander and Elizabeth Bruce, his brother William Bruce and his sister Elizabeth Lane.
He immigrated to Canada with his young family by his side in 1968 from Scotland. Worked for Budd Canada for 32 years. He always enjoyed a good game of Scrabble and golf. He made sure his family all knew how to play.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Coutts Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 96 St Andrews St, Cambridge on Thursday, April 20th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, April 21st at 11 a.m. The service will be livestreamed. A reception will follow.
