MAY 22, 1928 – MARCH 19, 2023

Annie Collins (nee Barrett) died peacefully on March 19th, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was 94 years old.

Annie was born in Spaniard's Bay, NF to Walter and Amelia Barrett. She and her husband, Hadow, moved to Toronto in 1947 where they raised their 4 children. They moved back to Spaniard's Bay in 1983, where they settled until Hadow's passing in 2007. Annie then moved to Cambridge, ON in 2014, where she remained for the rest of her years. She will be remembered by many as a loving, loyal and strong woman, with a joyful spirit and a compassionate heart. She was partial to a good joke and, in that spirit, could also be the sweetest little trouble-maker! She loved her family (always lighting up when the little ones were around), and was a wonderful listener with wise advice. She baked the best bread and blueberry muffins, and made the most delicious Jig's Dinner and Fish & Brewis.

Annie leaves behind her children: Linda (Les) Ori, Edward Collins, Gary (Mavis) Collins, and Sharon Pike; grandchildren: Jennifer (John), Maggie (Josh), Katie (John), Robert (Kelsie), Ashley (Scott), Andrea (Jorge), and Stephen; great grandchildren: Eve, William, Rhonan, Evaleigh, Leo, Ayla, and Natalia; brother-in-law, Marcus Collins; sister-in-law, Velma Smith; her sweet pup, Millie, and many nieces, nephews and friends whom she loved very much.

She is predeceased by her loving husband Hadow Robert Collins of 59 years; siblings: Lewis (Em) Barrett, Dorothy (Charles) Budvet, Raymond (Louise) Barrett, Max (Edith) Barrett; sister-in-law, Stella (Marcus) Collins; and, son-in-law, Paul (Sharon) Pike.

In lieu of flowers, family and friends are encouraged to make a donation to Cambridge Memorial Hospital, where Annie received impeccable care by her team of doctors and nurses. Annie's family would also like to extend a special thank you to her family doctor, Dr. Taryn Williams, and her two PSW workers Cindy and Tanya.

Visitation will be held at T.
