JANUARY 27, 1958 – JANUARY 23, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce Peter’s unexpected passing on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024, peacefully at home just days before his 66th birthday.

Beloved husband of Theresa (nee Bartlett) for 39 wonderful years. Devoted father to Jen (Nicole), Matt (Monica Henriques), and doting Poppy to Huxley, Lachlan, and Hendrix.

Dear brother to Betty (Robert) Roth, Bonnie (Dave) Peer, Pat (Shelly), Kevin (Bev), Ted (Jean) and brother-in-law to Bart (Ellen) and Louis (Teresa) Bartlett.

He is predeceased by and together once again with his parents William and Mary, his parents-in-law Louis and Genevieve Bartlett and siblings: Charles, Bernie, Frank, Will, Gert, Nora, Gerald and Lillian.

Pete will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Pete found solace and excitement in his passion for hockey, with the Boston Bruins holding a special place in his heart. His commitment to the sport extended beyond that of a spectator to his role as a dedicated volunteer with the Cambridge Red Hawks over the last 25 years, where he shared his love for the game with countless others.

Despite facing health challenges, Pete approached life with grace, always wearing a smile. His resilient spirit was surpassed only by his unwavering devotion to his family. Pete lived for moments spent with his grandchildren and cherished the special bonds he had with each of his boys. His enduring legacy is the love and joy he shared, both on and off the hockey rink.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and friends and family will be received on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge from 12 – 1:30 p.m. with a Memorial Service to begin at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, refreshments to follow. Pete will be laid to rest at Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge following the service.

As expressions of sympathy, donations made in Peter’s memory to Epilepsy Canada or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
