Passed away August 22, 2023 in Cambridge, ON.
Survived by her Son Chris (Dina), Daughter Nina, Granddaughters Amanda (Ryan), Erin (Corey) and great grandsons Sawyer and Bennett. Brother John Barrett (Rosemary) and the many nieces and nephews residing in England.
Predeceased by her Husband Antoni, Sisters Pauline, Cath and Josephine
Born in Blackpool, England on December 3 1928, Barbara was the 2nd child of Joseph and Cecelia Barrett, and a loving sister to her siblings. Barb loved to talk about her years in Blackpool and how she met her husband Toni.
On August 17, 1957 Barb and Chris boarded a ship to Canada to start their new life with Toni, eventually settling in Oakville and adding a daughter to the family.
After the passing of Toni on December 25, 1983 Barb again started a new life and transitioned into a fiercely independent woman. First as a lead administrator for the Halton School Board, post retirement moving to Stephensville ON for 8 years, then moving back to Burlington. Barb eventually became a volunteer at Sir John Colbourne Seniors Centre in Oakville and very happily spent over a decade running one of their senior’s programs where she made many wonderful friends.

Cremation has taken place. An urn committal service will be held at St. Jude’s Cemetery, 258 Lakeshore Rd E., Oakville on Friday, September 1st at 12:00 p.m.
