HICKS, Dale Bryan, MASc, PEng.

Retired employee and Mechanical Engineer at Ontario Hydro, in which he worked in Supply Division in Hamilton and Quality Assurance in Toronto, then started his second working life as a self-employed Resident Inspector at Babcock-Wilcox (now BWXT) in Cambridge for American customers, Duke Energy, Progress Energy, First Energy and Tennessee Valley Authority before finally retiring in 2017 at 73-years-old!

Dale of Mountsberg was born in Dunnville, ON, on a farm, beside the Dunnville Airport and close to Port Maitland. He became a lifelong flying enthusiast due to the fact that WWII vintage Lancaster Bombers flew over his home as part of the BCATP and Search and Rescue missions. Dale became a licensed pilot in 1980 and owned a Piper Cherokee, a Mooney and a Cessna 210 with many partners and friends. And boy, did he love cars! And all mechanical devices and inventions! A man of great knowledge.

Dale will be greatly missed by his beloved wife, Diane and sons, Christopher, Sean (Alicia) and Jason (Karen). Also by, and due to, the very close relationships that he had with his (8) grandchildren: Brittany, Kyle, Cooper (Ashley), Liam, Faith, Carson, Nathan and Katarina.

Dale is the last of his Dunnville family: being predeceased by loving and caring parents, Harold and Dorothy and siblings, Jack (Roxie), Charles (Helen), Suzanne (Murray) and Melonie, who are all waiting for him in Heaven.
