JANUARY 27, 1928 – APRIL 6, 2023
Dementia had the final word when our mother passed away on April 6, 2023. She was 95 years young.
Our mother immigrated to Canada with her parents, Stanley and Mary Zdonek in 1929, from Poland. Her baby brother Joe, was born here in Canada.
Otolya leaves behind a daughter, Mary, two sons, Bruce (Marilyn), and John (Karen). She will also be remembered by two nieces, Marilyn and Suzanne. Her seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren will miss her dearly.
She worked hard her entire life but to her credit, only had two jobs. She worked for many years; first at Newlands Textile and then retiring from her second job at Clawsey-Sorht. As a single mother; with the tremendous help from her parents, she raised her children - Otolya was an amazing mother.
There will be a private funeral service and burial at Mount View Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the T. Little Funeral Home (519) 623-1290.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by her family.
