MAY 25, 1931 – NOVEMBER 1, 2023
In her 93rd year, Norma went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Chartwell Queen’s Square, Cambridge. Predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years Art (2021). She will be missed by her children Glenn (Trish); Brian (Susan); the late Ken (Sue); Rick (Georgie); Carol (Doug); Sandy (late husband Dave). Sadly missed by 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Norma was predeceased by her parents Harvey and Annie; sister Margaret (Don); and brother Grant.
For many years Norma was actively involved in scouting. Over the past 30 years, she was very involved with Forward Church serving as kitchen manager for 10 years, on the senior executive for 20 years and purposefully engaged in bible studies. She continued her bible studies while a resident at Queen’s Square. Norma was a generous supporter of many charities and faithfully supported numerous causes. Her brilliant sense of humour lifted spirits and brightened the day for so many. Her kind and loving spirit will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
Much appreciation and gratitude to the team at Queen’s Square for their kindness, compassion and care of Norma, and to Rhonda Eves and the team at Right at Home for their dedication in ensuring support and comfort for her. Special thanks to Judy Wastle who has been a devoted friend and companion to Norma over the past two years and a tremendous support to the family.
A private family service will be held. A Celebration of Life will be arranged at a later date.
