Passed away peacefully with family by his side on December 14, 2023 at the age of 73.
Loving father to Colin MacDonald, Julie Riche and Lesley MacDonald (Shane Georges). Cherished papa to Rachel, Callum, Kostas, Taryn and John-Peter. Caring partner to Mala Singh. Survived by his sister Myra (Trevor) Hauxwell. He will forever remain in the hearts of his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Born and nurtured in Glasgow, John found his calling in the world of art. His canvases spoke volumes, capturing the essence of his imaginative spirit and the vivid colours of his surroundings. A brush in hand, he painted not just people but emotions, leaving an incredible mark on the artistic landscape. As much as John was captivated by the beauty of art, his heart also belonged to the realm of sports. Soccer was a passion that coursed through his veins, with the Glasgow Rangers standing as a cherished team. John also found solace and joy in the symphony of music. His eclectic taste embraced melodies that mirrored the various chapters of his life, creating a soundtrack with those who knew him.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held at Coutts Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge on Thursday, December 21st from 1-4 p.m.
