AUGUST 27, 1963 – DECEMBER 21, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Micheal Morton after a courageous battle with cancer. Micheal passed peacefully on the morning of December 21, 2023 at the age of 60, surrounded by the love of his family in the comfort of his home.
Devoted husband of 36 years to his loving wife and best friend Trudy, Mike was a pillar of strength for his family. He will truly be missed by his son Colton (Felicia) and daughter Bailey (Tyler). Mike was a proud Poppy to his three grandchildren, Clara, Wayne and Olivia, and felt no greater joy than watching them play and grow.
Predeceased by his loving mother Frances and survived by his father Herbert, brother John (Marilyn) and sister-in-law Sandra (Peter). Mike was surrounded by a strong network of friends who stood by his side throughout his brave battle. He was especially grateful for two dear friends, John and Lucy, who were a source of unwavering support during this difficult time.
Mike’s resourcefulness knew no bounds with an extraordinary talent for building and fixing whatever came his way. With an inventive spirit and persistent determination, he was the ultimate McGyver and go-to for any problem. Mike loved jumping in the truck with Trudy and hitting the open road, exploring different cities, historic landmarks and of course, stopping in every antique store they could find.
Mike will be remembered for his strength, resilience and love for his family. May he rest in peace, leaving behind cherished memories in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will follow in the new year.
