With great sadness, her family announces that Ruth passed away, while surrounded by family, on Friday, June 23, 2023 in her 77th year.
Loving mother of Stephanie (Denis) and Warren (Melissa) and fiercely proud grandma to Robbie, Freddie, Annie, and Ellie. She will also be lovingly remembered by her siblings Joan Hay (Bill), Bette Lewin (Barry), and David McLeod (Bernadette), sister in-law Donna McLeod, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours, and friends. Ruth is predeceased her parents David and Ruth McLeod and her older brother Don McLeod.
Ruth spent many years as the owner of Naylor McLeod Group, co-ordinating programs to support new recent graduates and new Canadians. At the same time, she enjoyed running Victorian Tea and Treasures in Paris, Ontario. In her most recent years Ruth took joy in spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Her family was the most important thing in her life and she will be loved and missed always. The family wish to thank Ruth's neighbours and friends whose kind assistance allowed her to stay in her home that she loved so much.
They also wish to express their gratitude to all of the nurses and doctors at Cambridge Memorial Hospital who cared for Ruth with such kindness in her final days. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place.
Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation at the T. Little Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Cambridge (519-623-1290) on Saturday, July 8th, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. The Memorial Service to Celebrate her life will follow in the T. Little Chapel at noon. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by her family.
