On Friday December 1st 2023, John Pinchin of Cambridge, Ontario, passed away at the age of 87, survived by daughters Karen Pinchin, of Whistler, British Columbia, and Lisa Pinchin, of Boston, Massachusetts, as well as his grandson Michael Curtis, and Michael’s wife Emma Gilbert, of Bellingham, Washington, and John’s companion Elaine Anderson, of Cambridge, along with many cherished friends.

Born in Midland, Ontario, John graduated from the University of Western Ontario and received the Ontario Gold Medal as the top writer of the accountancy exams. He then established a successful accounting firm and later continued with various entrepreneurial endeavors.

After living for decades in Florida, where he enjoyed golfing and boating with family and friends, John recently returned to Cambridge, Ontario.

Fun-loving and generous, John will be greatly missed.

A special thanks to Carole VanDerVoort for her kindness and care at the end of John’s life.

Cremation has taken place, with the timing undetermined for a celebration of life for John’s family and close friends.
