NOVEMBER 26, 1932 – AUGUST 17, 2023
Passed away peacefully in her 90th year due to heart complications at Stirling Heights Nursing Home, Cambridge, Ontario on Thursday, August 17, 2023.
Survived by her loving son Gordon (Avril), daughter Heather (James), brother Clarence, grandchildren Shane, Alexander, Teia, Teneil (Alex), Temeeka (Trevor) and great-grandchildren Janae, Isaiah, Justice, Naashon, Ellis, Gage and Georgia.
Predeceased by her loving husband Gordon, brothers Douglas (Bea), Keith (Joan) and grandson Keidon (Sweeney).
Born St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador November 26, 1932. Graduated from nursing school and was a registered nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Toronto, for 25 years. Wonderfully married to her husband for 58 years. Co-owned and operated Muskie Bay Cottages, Rice Lake, Ontario from 1972-1986. Loved serving her community and church in Rice Lake Landing and Hastings, Ontario and travelling with many of her lifelong friends in the cottage off seasons and in retirement. Enjoyed dedicating her life to her husband, children and grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Joan’s Life will be held at a later date.
