Arrest made in historic sexual assault investigation

Waterloo regional police are hoping the arrest of a 42-year-old man from Iroquois, Ont. for multiple sexual assaults will lead others with information to come forward. 

Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Special Victims Unit have arrested the man Nov. 27, with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police.

The offences are alleged to have occurred in Waterloo region and other parts of the province and involve a female victim who was a youth at the time.

James Tripp has been charged with sexual exploitation, uttering threats, being unlawfully in a dwelling house and two counts of sexual assault
