A Cambridge OPP officer made a furry friend in the least likely of places.
Provincial police say an officer had pulled over a vehicle on Highway 7/8 in the Kitchener area, when the officer heard a sound coming from the ditch.
"A few minutes later, as the officer was speaking with the driver, a kitten emerged from the grass and sat at the officers feet," read the social media post from the OPP's Highway Safety Division.
Police say the kitten was rescued. The driver who was pulled over was cautioned.
