Cambridge woman arrested following stabbing incident, police say

The victim, an 80-year-old man, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries

Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a 47-year-old Cambridge woman in connection with a stabbing incident. 

On April 7 at approximately 9:35 p.m., police responded to a residence in the Acorn Way and Small Court area in Cambridge for reports of an altercation that turned physical, a news release said.

Through the investigation, police learned that the victim, an 80-year-old Cambridge man, had been stabbed.  Waterloo Paramedic Services transported the victim to an out-of-region hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

The accused was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon. She was held in police custody for a bail hearing. The involved parties are known to each other, the release added.
