Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Unit are investigating a single motor vehicle collision in Cambridge.
On Aug. 23, 2023 at approximately 4:20 p.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision on East Street at Elliott Street.
A black Kia SUV was travelling south on East Street when the vehicle left the roadway, struck a hydro pole, and rolled over.
The driver, a 43-year-old Cambridge female, and the 5-year-old passenger were transported to a local hospital by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services with minor physical injuries.
The intersection was closed to traffic for several hours for the investigation and replacement of the hydro pole.
The investigation is ongoing, and charges are pending.
