A federal offender wanted on a Canada-wide warrant who was known to frequent the Cambridge area is back in custody, police say.

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad of the OPP said today that Colin Palmer, 46, was arrested by the Hamilton Police Service.

The ROPE squad said last week that Palmer was unlawfully at large for breaching his day parole and was known to frequent the Six Nations, Hamilton and Cambridge areas.

Palmer is serving a two-year, 10-month sentence for two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, according to an OPP news release.
