Members of the Break Enter and Vehicle Theft Team continue to investigate the attempted theft of a Lexus SUV.

On Feb. 11, 2022, at approximately 4:45 a.m., members of Neighbourhood Policing - South Division responded to the area of Dellgrove Circle in Cambridge for a report of a suspicious person.

Officers arrived in the area and located a male attempting to steal a Lexus SUV. The male then fled the area on foot. The male was located a short distance away with the assistance of our Canine Unit and was arrested.

Officers also located suspected involved individuals in a vehicle in the area and arrested the three male occupants.

As part of the investigation, officers seized several electronic devices that reprogram key fobs, leading to vehicle thefts.

Four males, aged 18, 19 and two 20-year-olds, all from Quebec, have been arrested and charged in connection to this investigation.

All four males were held in custody for a bail hearing.

The investigation is ongoing.
