Investigation continues for collision in North Dumfries

Waterloo Regional Police continue to investigate a single motor vehicle collision in North Dumfries Township.

On November 8, 2021, at approximately 8:20 p.m., emergency services responded to Dickie Settlement Road for a collision.

The investigation revealed that a silver Audi left the roadway, travelled down an embankment, into a truck yard and struck three parked transport trucks. As a result, the vehicle was pinned under the trucks.

Further investigation revealed that the vehicle had been previously stolen from the Halton Region.

The driver, a 25-year-old Kitchener male was transported to Hamilton General Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Dickie Settlement Road was closed from Old Mill Road and Whistle Bare Road for several hours during the investigation.

The investigation remains ongoing by the Traffic Services Unit and South patrol. Charges are pending.
