Police say they have arrested two young males and seized a loaded firearm after a drug raid.
Waterloo Regional Police say they executed a search warrant in the area of Roseview Avenue earlier today.
Investigators seized a loaded firearm, stolen property, counterfeit currency and stolen identity documents, according to a WRPS news release.
Suspected fentanyl, crack cocaine, morphine, oxycodone and cannabis were also seized, police allege.
As a result of the investigation, two 18-year-old Cambridge males were arrested and charged with:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (four counts)
- Possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling it
- Possession of Identity Documents
- Identity Fraud
- Possessing counterfeit money
- Possession of stolen property under $5,000
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Careless use of firearm, weapon, ammunition
- Unsafe storage of firearm
- Careless use of firearm, weapon, ammunition
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Possession of a prohibited/restricted firearm with ammunition
Both males were held for a bail hearing, police said.
