Police charge Cambridge man with break and enter

Police arrested a 37-year old Cambridge man shortly after midnight this morning after responding to an alarm at a business near Fountain Street South and King Street West in Preston.

Officers from WRPS’ Neighbourhood Policing South Division said they caught the suspect at an in-progress break-and-enter at the business.

Upon arrest, the male was found to be in possession of tools, including a pry bar, bolt cutters, and a hammer.

The man was charged with break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence, possession of break-in instruments, and failure to comply with a judicial release.

The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
