Police identify suspect in Monday's Fairview Park Mall robbery

Police have issued an arrest warrant for a 16-year-old GTA male; two other suspects remain outstanding

Police say three suspects involved in a robbery at Fairview Park Mall on Monday left in this silver car.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service’s robbery team, along with the Forensic Identification Unit, have identified a 16-year-old male suspect in relation to a robbery that occurred Jan. 8, at a jewellery store in Fairview Park.

The youth, who is from the Greater Toronto Area, is currently in custody in Toronto on other unrelated charges.

A warrant has been issued to have the youth returned to Waterloo Region to be charged with Robbery with a Weapon and Disguise with Intent. 

The investigation is ongoing by WRPS’ Robbery Team.

Three unknown suspects entered the business armed with hammers and pepper spray Monday night.

The suspects smashed display cases and stole merchandise. The suspects fled the area in a silver SUV.
