Police investigate collision in East Galt area of Cambridge

Two passengers, both children, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries

Police are investigating a motor vehicle collision that occurred in Cambridge. 

On Friday at 9:30 p.m., emergency services responded to the intersection of Main Street and Elgin Street North in Galt. 

Police believe a red Ford was travelling east on Main Street when it ran a red light and collided with a grey Toyota in the intersection.

Two passengers in the Ford, both children, were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No physical injuries were reported by either involved driver.

Charges are pending but the intersection was closed for several hours for the investigation.
