Police investigate morning theft of Pride flags as hate incident

Waterloo regional police are investigating after two Pride flags were stolen in North Dumfries Township yesterday morning.

Police responded around 8:30 a.m. Dec. 5 to the area of Hilltop Drive and Hunt Street in Ayr for reports of two separate incidences of Pride flags being stolen from residences.

Police are treating this as a hate-motivated incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
