Police investigating report of suspicious person in Cambridge

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a report of a suspicious person in Cambridge earlier today.

Police say at around 9:35 a.m. they received a report of a suspicious male approaching a young person in the area of Saginaw Parkway and Franklin Boulevard.

The unknown male approached the youth and asked them if they wanted to be driven home due to the rain, however, the youth declined the offer and left the area.

The male is described as white with a pale complexion, 50 to 60 years old, clean-shaven, dark hair with grey patches, and brown eyes. He was seen driving a 2010 to 2015 grey SUV with dark-tinted windows.

There were no reports of any physical injuries, police said in a release.
