Police lay 23 charges in patrol on McQueen Shaver Boulevard

Police say a patrol on the south border of Cambridge on Sunday night resulted in 23 charges being laid in just three hours.

Waterloo Regional Police said "Project ERASE" had the traffic services unit conducting enforcement on McQueen Shaver Boulevard in North Dumfries Township.

The south boundary road has become notorious for speeding since in opened in August 2021.

The 23 charges laid included seven for stunt driving and one for racing, according to a WRPS Twitter post.

The post included an image of a vehicle being taken away on a flat-bed tow truck with the hashtags #RoadSafety and #CommunitySafety.
