UPDATE: Police arrest two in connection to Cambridge stabbing

Incident believed to be targeted and there are no concerns for public safety, police say

UPDATE:

Waterloo Regional Police's General Investigations Unit has charged two individuals in connection to a Cambridge stabbing.

On April 13 at approximately 2:15 a.m., emergency services responded to a report of a stabbing outside a licensed establishment on Water Street North. 

Upon arrival, police located a male victim suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Through investigation, and with the assistance of multiple calls from members of the public, investigators identified two involved suspects and, at approximately 6:50 p.m. on April 13 located and arrested both individuals.

As a result of the investigation, a 29-year-old Cambridge male has been charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and carry a concealed weapon.

A 24-year-old Cambridge female has been charged with assault.

Both accused parties were held in police custody for a bail hearing.

Waterloo Regional Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance with this investigation.

Waterloo Regional Police are seeking assistance to identify two individuals in connection to a stabbing in Cambridge. 

On April 13, at approximately 2:15 a.m., emergency services responded to a report of a stabbing outside a licensed establishment on Water Street North. 

Upon arrival, police located a male victim suffering from multiple stab wounds.

The victim, a 28-year-old Cambridge male, was transported to an out-of-region hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. 

Investigators would like to identify and speak with two individuals in connection to this incident.
